MUSIQUE ET MONTAGNE

MUSIQUE ET MONTAGNE (Music and Mountains) is a course for organists already mastering a good piano technique and a large rpertoire.

The course lasts seven days. Every day, all participants join in for seven hours : every "stagiaire" presents a work which is studied by the group. The focus of the class is on the style and interpretation of each work. Also proposed are improvisation and accompaniment of liturgical music.

Instruments available for the class are four pipe organs of different periods and styles, in order to cover the whole organ rpertoire. Detailed descriptions of the organs are available on request.

Each "stagiaire" presents THREE WORKS, of which one or two works of Baroque Music, and one or two of Classical Music (Bach, Buxtehude ...) must be included.
Georges ROBERT, the teacher and soloist of international renown, is in charge of the course. The lessons are translated into English.
